Dan Perjovschi


Dan Perjovschi (b. 1961 in Sibiu, Romania, living in Bucharest) is internationally known as an artist for his political murals and statements on contemporary history. Since 2012, Perjovschi increasingly works digitally and, for the distribution and discussion in social media like Facebook and Twitter, puts his work on the Web. WORLD (2015) consists of five drawings on postcards, that Perjovschi sends to the buyers from different and, beforehand, unknown places. Most recently his works were shown, among others, at Albertina, Vienna (2015); Shedhalle Zurich (2014); Kiasma – Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki (2013); Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2012; 2007); Centre Pompidou, Paris (2010; 2007); Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (2010; 2009); The Museum of Modern Art, New York (2007); Venice Biennale (2007; 1999); Tate Modern, London (2006).
