Your personal data that you provide to us, such as name, address, e-mail address, telephone numbers will be processed by us internally and only in exceptional cases passed on to institutions associated with us, e.g. cooperation partners, partner organisations at events and tour operators for the above-mentioned purposes. Information will only be sent by post as long as you have not objected to the use of your data.

2) Use of the website www.nbk.org, hereinafter also referred to as “website”

When you access our website, connection data is stored. This means that each time a file is retrieved or attempted on this server, the following data about this process is stored by default in a log file (server log file) for purposes of system security and statistics:

• complete IP address
• time and method of the access
• URL accessed
• version of the HTTP protocol used
• result value of the access
• data volume of the access in kB
• web page that was accessed before this page was accessed (referrer)
• information about the browser and operating system used

All this data is not assigned to any specific person. Personal data such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address are not collected.

Analytics

The n.b.k. website uses the “Webalizer” tool, a web analysis software for statistical evaluation of user access to the website. “Webalizer” creates surveys of the number of hits, file/page requests, visits, etc., based on the server log file data specified under 2).

These evaluations are not linked to other data sources, in particular to personal data. The information generated is stored with the provider Domain Factory in Germany. No information or data will be passed on to third parties.

Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a web server temporarily stores in your Internet browser in order to retrieve the information later. Cookies are used, among other things, for customised websites and for user identification.

The n.b.k. website itself does not use cookies. In certain cases, cookies are used by external content providers’ plug-ins, for example by Vimeo.

Viewing this online content is also possible under exclusion of cookies. If you do not want cookies to be stored on your computer, you are requested to deactivate the corresponding option in the system settings of your browser. Stored cookies can be deleted in the system settings of the browser. The exclusion of cookies can lead to functional limitations of the online content.

Vimeo

In order to integrate videos on our website we use, among others, the provider Vimeo. Vimeo is operated by Vimeo, LLC with its head office in 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.

Partly, we use plug-ins from Vimeo. When you access the pages of our website provided with such a plug-in, a connection to Vimeo’s servers is established and the plug-in is displayed. This will transmit to Vimeo’s server which of our web pages you have visited. If you are logged in as a member of Vimeo, Vimeo will assign this information to your personal user account. When using the plug-in (e.g. clicking the start button of a video) this information is also assigned to your user account. You can prevent this assignment by logging out of your Vimeo account and deleting the corresponding Vimeo cookies before using our website.

For more information on Vimeo’s data processing and privacy policy, please visit https://vimeo.com/privacy.

Using the “Google Custom Search” external search engine

On our website, the Google Custom Search Engine “Google CSE” is used as a central search engine. This integrated search engine enables a full-text search for content on our website. This search function can be accessed via a search box integrated in the sidebar of the individual web pages.

Activating the search

By entering a search term in the search box and then pressing the Enter key or the search icon (magnifying glass icon), the user activates the search function, and the search results page is retrieved, which loads the corresponding Google search results using a plug-in provided by Google. In the process, data is transferred to the search service.

Search results page

The plug-in developed and provided by Google (Google Custom Search Engine “Google CSE”) is integrated into the search results page as a software module “as-is” (unchanged). The plug-in enables automated communication (data exchange) between the retrieved search results page and the Google service when the search results page is retrieved. The use of the search function provided by Google includes a dynamic transfer of data by the service provider Google to the search results page.

Data privacy

Data is not transferred to Google until the user activates the search box, starts a full-text search and thereby retrieves the search results page. By using the search function within the search results page, user data is also transferred to Google at the same time. If our web pages are accessed without activating “Google Custom Search”, no data is generally transferred to the provider of the search service (Google). This excepts the cases where users refer directly to a search results page.

Consent to data transfer by using the Google search

By using the full-text search and the access to the search results page as a consequence thereof, you agree to the transfer of data to Google’s services. This includes, for example, the search terms you have entered and the IP address of the computer you are using.

Please note that Google has different privacy standards than our website. We point out that the processing, in particular the storage, deletion and use of possibly transferred personal data is the responsibility of the provider of the search service and we have no influence on the type and scope of the transferred data and on their further processing.

If you are logged in to Google at the same time, Google’s services are able to assign the information directly to your user profile.

Further information from Google about the handling of user data (data protection declaration) can be found on: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB
