The art and performance group around Gómez Barrio and Mayer critically engages with the political and social predecessors and in its queer practice takes up the aesthetics of camp. The video performance Anger and Depression, in which a vampire couple devours a cake with red filling to overcome its bloodthirstinesss to the Shakira hit Whenever Wherever (2001), can be read as an ambivalent critique of consumerism.
