Luca Vitone
Luca Vitone (*1964 in Genoa, Italy, living in Milan and Berlin) in his artistic work deals with the construction and representation of sceneries and locations, and the different languages that these describe in all their geographical, political, social, cultural and poetic dimensions. In addition to installations and paintings, Vitone creates olfactory sculptures that solely by the presence of an odor in the room address the collective memory and arouse certain associations in the viewer.
Imperium (2014) is composed in cooperation with the master perfumier Maria Candida Gentile from different fragrances, which altogether evoke the “smell of power”.
