Walter Verdin documents two very different forms of choreography in his videos on classical music. In Monolog van Fumiyo Ikeda op het einde van Ottone Ottone Fumiyo Ikeda “dances” a piece from a Monteverdi opera with only her face in a close up. In Goldberg Variations 1–15, in contrast, the dancer Steven Paxton dances a flowing approach to Bach’s piano work in a large space with high ceilings.
