Alejandro Cesarco
Alejandro Cesarco (b. 1975 in Montevideo, living in New York) in his work takes up the legacy of one conceptual art that is based on linguistics and literature. In text works, films, photographs, collages, artist's books and installations he examines the relationship between word and image, the expressible and the visible, history and memory. In the way that here autobiographical references blend with literary ones, the works reflect the possibilities of historical reference and translation, with the emotional dynamics of interpersonal relationships always playing a role.
