Betina Kuntzsch
Betina Kuntzsch (*1963 in Berlin, lives in Berlin) works in the tension between documentary and computer-generated images, creating conceptual, defamiliarized documentary pieces that she sometimes condenses into what appear to be lexical images of concepts. Her recent works are characterized by a specific video drawing technique: starting from random image disturbances such as rough pixels, glitches, or video grid effects, she creates photographs and drawings on paper that are then animated into delicate studies of movement.
