Discoteca Flaming Star
The interdisciplinary artist group Discoteca Flaming Star, founded by Cristina Gómez Barrio (*1973 in Madrid, lives in Berlin and Stuttgart / Germany) and Wolfgang Mayer (*1967 in Kempten / Germany, lives in Berlin and Stuttgart / Germany) in 1998, critically examines political and social processes. With a changing line-up, the group works with performance, sculpture, drawing, objects, film, and video. These elements are often arranged into installations that serve as a backdrop for their conceptual music performances.
