Judith Hopf
In her artistic work, Judith Hopf (*1969 in Karlsruhe / Germany, lives in Berlin) explores stories and aesthetics of popular culture, as well as social formulas and power relations in politics and private life. In doing so, she reinterprets everyday observations and brings them into new meaningful contexts. Hopf works in a variety of media including performance, video, sculpture, and printmaking. Understanding her artistic practice as part of a collective process, her works are often created in close collaboration with other artists. Judith Hopf has taught in the department of Fine Arts at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste–Städelschule in Frankfurt/Main since 2008.
