The conceptual work of Luca Vitone (*1964 in Genoa / Italy, lives in Milan and Berlin) is rooted in a critical examination of the cultural-political and institutional conditions of artistic creation. Vitone analyzes the mechanisms involved in the development of artistic positions as well as questioning of the recourse to or rejection of cultural traditions. His practice focuses on the construction and representation of sites and places and on the different languages that describe them in all their geographical, political, social, cultural, and poetic dimensions.
