Ursula Biemann
Ursula Biemann (*1955 in Zurich / Switzerland, lives in Zurich / Switzerland) is an artist, theorist, and curator. She uses her artistic and theoretical research to explore issues of migration, mobility, borders, gender, and the influence of technology. In her documentary work, she analyzes geopolitical developments. However, her documentaries do not function in a representative sense. Instead, they contrast the subjective statements of eyewitnesses with scientific questions in order to deconstruct preconceived opinions.
