Exhibitions

n.b.k. shows exhibitions of contemporary art that are complemented by other events. “Visuality,” “transculturalism,” “publicity,” “urbanity,” and “Berlin” are some of the thematic emphases. Solo shows and group shows, also in cooperation with guest curators and fellow institutions, open up aesthetic realms of experience for the public. The exhibitions and projects at n.b.k. contribute to the exploration and active shaping of new European cultural landscapes in a global context by sensitizing the public for the phenomena of transculturalism. With its Artothek and Video-Forum, n.b.k. is a place of aesthetic experience, of engagement with contemporary art, and of open discussion on social topics. n.b.k. with its exhibition program, events, cooperation projects, and publication series sees itself as a workshop of ideas, and as a vivid place for Berlin’s art world.
